Badminton at heart

Assalamulaikum wbt
All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger.

Greetings.

In the previous post, I mentioned that among the things that I loved and enjoyed last month is the day, Friday. This post, I would like to add one more to the list.

Another thing that I love during my practical days up to today is the badminton 'training' day! as what they, at the office called them, training session :)

I personally always enjoy playing sports. Court games specifically and badminton especially. Even though I may not be the best player ever, I am ok when playing badminton.heheee. The first badminton game was on the first week of March, a couple of days after I started my internship. I can't remember when was the last time, but it was the first game after a longggggggggggggggg time! hahaa.. I missed playing so much that when I get to play, I felt as happy as when I eat a tasty piece of chocolate indulgence cake.teheeee.. But seriously, I felt good and of course healthier. And two days after that, I felt ache all over my body.hahaaa.. The things that happened to people who only exercise once in a blue moon like me *dang

I recall on the days when I get to play badminton almost everyday. It was during my high school years. I have this one teacher who was closed to us as he was our batch teacher. It started in form three or form two. A couple of my friends and I, plus four of our seniors were those who will play 4,5 rounds of badminton for one and a half hour on weekdays during the early months of school. Those were the time when the others were busy training their field skills and their athletic skills preparing for sports day, while we(the badminton-eers) were busy training for our inter-school single and double games.

Oh, how I missed those days. It was fun playing and playing until you sweat all over. The feeling of satisfaction. So, when I know that there is a Badminton Training Day, I am always looking forward to it. The games on March was superb as many of us joined in. All laughs and goofing around of course.hahaa. Then, April came with events and meetings here and there, thus, not as many were able to play last week. And on Monday :(, I was not able to join for the game too as I need to attend a meeting elsewhere in the evening. *sigh. There goes my two precious days.hahaa.. Sadly, I found out that not many were able to turn up last Monday too. I wonder if there is going to be trainings in May. *sigh. I hope there will!

So, until next month! My final month to enjoy badminton with my fellow colleagues before I end my internship. Looking forward :) Below are a couple of pictures. Next time, I'll try including a few pictures that shows we are playing rather than just posing. If and only if there is a next time. Hope there is!

The first game

Our second badminton 'training' session ;)

This was in 2006 I think. Our first match together.

English for Professional Communication

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Greetings readers! As stated above, in this entry I would like to share about the course that I am taking at present. It is a course from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). It is very rare to find people that know about this course. Dialogue 1 A: Eh, what are you studying now? Me: English for Prof Comm A: ...........??? So, what is that actually? Dialogue 2 A: Anyway, what are you taking now? Me: Language studies A: Oh.. TESL eh. Me: ....................... or very very very rare, Dialogue 3 A: What course did you take? Me: English for Prof Comm A: Ohh..ok. As you see, this course is not as popular as others like law, engineering, medicine, dental, education and others, which everyone knows of. But, it is a fun and interesting course to learn. Believe me. And if you are really good in English, which I am still working on t...

Sleepless night to remember

Assalamulaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Hello. Upon writing this post, I am at a state where I can no longer open my eyes to continue doing my work. My friends and I are at Level 9 Menara at this late hour, yup (for those who know the history.........hahahaa.....). It's kind of our lepak place for wifi, for just us. Alhamdulillah. Our journey are coming to its end. So far, we are done with two of our professional presentations. It was a nerve-wrecking and sleepless experience on preparing the text and searching for information and practice and what not for the presentation. Nevertheless, I enjoy every last moment of it. Even now, it is just so difficult to finish up my thesis and do the amendments needed, I choose not to fret and just keep on continuing these difficult times as I believe I will be reminiscing these times later in the future. InsyaAllah, everything will end this Monday. My prayers to all of us, myself and my friends, that we...

Lailatul Qadar

Assalamualaikum wbt. All praises to Allah SWT & His Messenger. Lailatul Qadar is the night that is better than a thousand months. For those who sincerely devote oneself on that night will be granted with His countless blessings. Refer Surah Al-Qadr. What makes the event more special is that the time of it's occurrence is unknown. There are no exact dates in Ramadhan on when Lailatul Qadar is. The only thing that is known is that it may occur on any odd dates among the last 10 days of Ramadhan So, it is a chase for all Muslims. Which is good as it motivates us and myself to pray harder and do more ibadah especially during the last 10 days of Ramadhan to have the pahala of 1000 months. Which is when you convert, equals to pahala of 83 years! Allahuakbar. Subhanallah. There are many other ways or action that we can do during the last 10 days of Ramadhan. One of the most crucial, and this is in my own opinion, is to recite the Doa below all the time. We the imperf...
