Sister and Bestfriend

Assalamualaikum wbt
All praises to Allah SWT the Almighty and His Messenger.

Greetings.
It has been a month, again.

This time around, the post is about a very special person,
my Adik, the baby of the family.

She is going away to study at a place quite far away.
Being the baby of the family, she has not really been very far from the family,
until last year for her one year foundation study.
But, that was still quite near as it was still in our area.

This time, it is in another state.
The thought of Adik not being at home as usual,
came into me.

Next week must be boring
Must be quiet at home
I definitely felt lonely
My bestfriend is not with me
What she's doing now
Is she ok there
I hope she's doing ok
No one to laugh at my silly lame jokes
Is she coping well with the environment
I hope she stays strong
I hope she copes with being homesick
I hope...... I hope.......
And yeah, no one to argue with as usual
*sigh

I am actually feeling sad and teary.
A good sad though,
that she is going away to study
and able to be more independent
and able to experience more things
and also able to explore more of herself.

I remembered she told me recently about me being away from the family.
It was the time when I went to a boarding school in the north, as young as 13 years old.
Of course, without doubt, I cried almost all the time during my first-two years.
But, you know what my sister told me?

She told me that she cried.
The day after she sent me away, she was laying on bed
and suddenly tears came down her cheeks.
She cried as she was feeling lonely.
She felt a little lonely that I was not there with her, as usual.
And you know what,
I felt the same now.

To Adik if you are reading,
I love you, always and forever bestfriend.
Study hard and smart.
Make sure you make baba mama and the family proud.
Don't layan your homesick feeling ok
I know you are a strong person.
All the best sayang <3

Do pray for the best for my sister.
And, thanks for reading.

Have a pleasant Hari Merdeka ke-56!

English for Professional Communication

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Greetings readers! As stated above, in this entry I would like to share about the course that I am taking at present. It is a course from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). It is very rare to find people that know about this course. Dialogue 1 A: Eh, what are you studying now? Me: English for Prof Comm A: ...........??? So, what is that actually? Dialogue 2 A: Anyway, what are you taking now? Me: Language studies A: Oh.. TESL eh. Me: ....................... or very very very rare, Dialogue 3 A: What course did you take? Me: English for Prof Comm A: Ohh..ok. As you see, this course is not as popular as others like law, engineering, medicine, dental, education and others, which everyone knows of. But, it is a fun and interesting course to learn. Believe me. And if you are really good in English, which I am still working on t...

Sleepless night to remember

Assalamulaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Hello. Upon writing this post, I am at a state where I can no longer open my eyes to continue doing my work. My friends and I are at Level 9 Menara at this late hour, yup (for those who know the history.........hahahaa.....). It's kind of our lepak place for wifi, for just us. Alhamdulillah. Our journey are coming to its end. So far, we are done with two of our professional presentations. It was a nerve-wrecking and sleepless experience on preparing the text and searching for information and practice and what not for the presentation. Nevertheless, I enjoy every last moment of it. Even now, it is just so difficult to finish up my thesis and do the amendments needed, I choose not to fret and just keep on continuing these difficult times as I believe I will be reminiscing these times later in the future. InsyaAllah, everything will end this Monday. My prayers to all of us, myself and my friends, that we...

Prom Night

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger And so, our konon2 Prom Night was a fun night. We actually called it Pre-Graduation Dinner plus also combining the dinner with the Dean's Award recipients.  It sounds funny when you called it Prom Night. For me when it is called as such, it sounds Americanish , wild and western .hahaa. But it is also suitable to be called as such to show it was a celebrated night and because the theme for that night was Tie, Suit and Dresses , I know, nice wasn't it. And the dinner, it was not the place or the food that we would fret about or be bossy about later on, its the people and the friends and the pictures that we will talk about again and again, it will be the memory that we will probably recall in the future, the almost last moment of a student life.hahaa. And guess what, just after the dinner, we the gals went and lepak for a while for a short kopi session just to end the night nicely. Wahh, a night to rem...
