The Big Bad Wolf 2012!

Assalamualaikum wbt
All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger.

Went there, The Big Bad Wolf! done hunting!

The wolf is back again this year. Didn't get the chance to visit last year as it was held for only three days. Whereas this year, they extend until three weeks and the total of books available for us are 3million!!! They add 1.5 million more books for this year. That is a lot. A LOT!!! Not just that, they even open for 24 hours during the weekend, talking about getting crazy from what the wolf offers. I went there last Saturday with my friends and my sister. Luckily there were not many people, well, there were lots of people but we were able to walk calmly through the aisle compared to what my friends told me when they went there during the first week. If there is anybody inviting me to accompany or asking me to join them to visit the wolf again, without hesitation, I will say YES :). I would love to have a look on several more books again before it ends this 23 December 2012. But, there is nothing for me to regret if there is no second trip there as we'll be seeing the wolf again next year, if everything permits us.

The day we went there, I was truly excited. The minute I saw the Big Bad Wolf banner nearby Seri Kembangan area where they tied the banner at the light pole by the road, my heart either stopped beating or just beating too fast that I just don't realized...dangggg.....!!! I am too excited, I smile from my right ear to my left ear from time to time, until we have actually arrived at the MIECC. Looking for parking spot, walking up the stairs and up the escalator and walk into the entrance.

The second I step in and saw the hall full of million and million of books I was overwhelmed. Too overwhelmed that I had goosebumps. Over, ya memang over. But yeah, it was among the happiest moment I have felt. Then, the hunt started. It takes time to screen for books, and I screen until I felt dizzy, because there were too many books and also because my stomach was growling.hehe. Then after 2 hours, we arrived at 11am and went back home at 2pm, if I'm not mistaken, I'm not sure, but it's already Zohor when we paid and done with our hunt.

Yeay! The entrance to the hall

People busy searching and looking

Piles n piles of books

My catch

Thought of praying Zohor there but, the Muslimahs were lining to get in the surau, so we decided to pray elsewhere. So went out from the MIECC area and in the car discussed for a place to have lunch. It took some time before we agreed on a place, OU. Went to have lunch there and also purchased some Bros bottles there. There were 20% and 30% discounts and it was a coincidence as my sister has been looking for a bootle as her's got lost recently, so we bottle hunting. The bottles were beautiful. Besides they were eco-friendly and were all BPA made products, they also came in several patterns and types. PRETTY patterns and types. Because I've already had one, from a similar brand, which are also pretty and still pretty until today, it was actually a present from a friend :D, I didn't buy any for myself. My sister purchased two bottles and a girlfriend of mine purchased three bottles, talking about bottle hunting. Well, my other friend just have a look, maybe the interest to purchase is there, maybe, but he didn't purchased any.

The pretty bottles

What a day that Saturday.
And yes, after that we received a sad news. A death of a friend's senior.
Her senior involved in a very serious accident.
Was taken to the hospital but her condition was too critical.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.

Al-Fatihah.

English for Professional Communication

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Greetings readers! As stated above, in this entry I would like to share about the course that I am taking at present. It is a course from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). It is very rare to find people that know about this course. Dialogue 1 A: Eh, what are you studying now? Me: English for Prof Comm A: ...........??? So, what is that actually? Dialogue 2 A: Anyway, what are you taking now? Me: Language studies A: Oh.. TESL eh. Me: ....................... or very very very rare, Dialogue 3 A: What course did you take? Me: English for Prof Comm A: Ohh..ok. As you see, this course is not as popular as others like law, engineering, medicine, dental, education and others, which everyone knows of. But, it is a fun and interesting course to learn. Believe me. And if you are really good in English, which I am still working on t...

Sleepless night to remember

Assalamulaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Hello. Upon writing this post, I am at a state where I can no longer open my eyes to continue doing my work. My friends and I are at Level 9 Menara at this late hour, yup (for those who know the history.........hahahaa.....). It's kind of our lepak place for wifi, for just us. Alhamdulillah. Our journey are coming to its end. So far, we are done with two of our professional presentations. It was a nerve-wrecking and sleepless experience on preparing the text and searching for information and practice and what not for the presentation. Nevertheless, I enjoy every last moment of it. Even now, it is just so difficult to finish up my thesis and do the amendments needed, I choose not to fret and just keep on continuing these difficult times as I believe I will be reminiscing these times later in the future. InsyaAllah, everything will end this Monday. My prayers to all of us, myself and my friends, that we...

Prom Night

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger And so, our konon2 Prom Night was a fun night. We actually called it Pre-Graduation Dinner plus also combining the dinner with the Dean's Award recipients.  It sounds funny when you called it Prom Night. For me when it is called as such, it sounds Americanish , wild and western .hahaa. But it is also suitable to be called as such to show it was a celebrated night and because the theme for that night was Tie, Suit and Dresses , I know, nice wasn't it. And the dinner, it was not the place or the food that we would fret about or be bossy about later on, its the people and the friends and the pictures that we will talk about again and again, it will be the memory that we will probably recall in the future, the almost last moment of a student life.hahaa. And guess what, just after the dinner, we the gals went and lepak for a while for a short kopi session just to end the night nicely. Wahh, a night to rem...
