Iqbal

Assalamualaikum wbt
All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger.

Greetings!

This time it really has been a month since the last post. Laziness seems to always win in all situation compare to doing something. Thats me. I know, I know, it is something bad. *sigh

Anyway, let's proceed. It is time I come out with a more interesting topic, a more interesting blog post, don't you think? This time, it is about Iqbal.

Iqbal, Iqbal, Iqbal, Iqbal

It all started like this ~ ~ ~

It was a normal office day at work. I was doing some tasks, and I was in need of a reference to do a short write-up about an event. So, I went to ask my superior for it.

What is it about Iqbal, do you wonder?

Who is this Iqbal person?
Must be a male, or is it a ........?
Was Iqbal the name of the person giving me the task?
Was he the one I'm meeting to ask for reference?
Was he someone who I am going to bump into later?
Was he someone I'm working with?
or
Was he someone I'm seeing at the moment?
hemmmm..... Take your pick.

And so, I continue my journey, asking for a reference to do my write-up.

Abang K, I'm doing this write-up. Can I have the *&^^%$@@%^(&^% (as how a conversation goes, asking something from someone). So, it seems that, Abang K is not Iqbal, Abang K is Abang K.

Abang K told me to give a pendrive so he could give me a copy of something that I can refer to. I went and get mine, then passed it to him.

Only then it happens.

I bumped into Iqbal?
Iqbal called to see me?
Abang K introduced me to Iqbal?
Iqbal....??

dup..dup....dup......dup.........dup..................teeettttttttt................................................

*drama queen much*

Then the PC was reading the pendrive.
Detecting and installing.

So, save it where Yeen?
Abang K search for the pendrive name.
Then he looked at me.
Me looking at the screen, acting normal, still not knowing.

Iqbal eh?
Save in Iqbal?
Ohhhhh...it happens that Iqbal is the name saved for the pendrive.

The relaxed and innocent me, saying, yeah Iqbal.

Then, the usual thing happened.
Of course, these things always do happen.
I am prepared.hahaa

Wah, Yeen, Iqbal ke nama dia. *&%$#@!#%&*%&&^$ (as how a conversation goes, others ask you about 'the one')

I, as myself of course, playing the innocent me.
Nodding, Shaking,,,,,, more nodding and shaking,,,,,,,, more more,,,,,

Well, that's the story of Iqbal.
I can't believe the pendrive caused a 5 minutes chaos on me AT THE OFFICE.fyuhhh.

Now, you decide.

It's no fun me telling everything aite ;)
Who or what do you think this Iqbal is?
Is he really a someone and I'm just playing innocent?
or
Is he just a name for an old 1.5G pendrive?
Too bad that only myself and I who knows.

And btw, come to think about it, Iqbal is a nice name after all.

I'll write soon.
Maybe.

English for Professional Communication

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Greetings readers! As stated above, in this entry I would like to share about the course that I am taking at present. It is a course from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). It is very rare to find people that know about this course. Dialogue 1 A: Eh, what are you studying now? Me: English for Prof Comm A: ...........??? So, what is that actually? Dialogue 2 A: Anyway, what are you taking now? Me: Language studies A: Oh.. TESL eh. Me: ....................... or very very very rare, Dialogue 3 A: What course did you take? Me: English for Prof Comm A: Ohh..ok. As you see, this course is not as popular as others like law, engineering, medicine, dental, education and others, which everyone knows of. But, it is a fun and interesting course to learn. Believe me. And if you are really good in English, which I am still working on t...

Sleepless night to remember

Assalamulaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Hello. Upon writing this post, I am at a state where I can no longer open my eyes to continue doing my work. My friends and I are at Level 9 Menara at this late hour, yup (for those who know the history.........hahahaa.....). It's kind of our lepak place for wifi, for just us. Alhamdulillah. Our journey are coming to its end. So far, we are done with two of our professional presentations. It was a nerve-wrecking and sleepless experience on preparing the text and searching for information and practice and what not for the presentation. Nevertheless, I enjoy every last moment of it. Even now, it is just so difficult to finish up my thesis and do the amendments needed, I choose not to fret and just keep on continuing these difficult times as I believe I will be reminiscing these times later in the future. InsyaAllah, everything will end this Monday. My prayers to all of us, myself and my friends, that we...

Prom Night

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger And so, our konon2 Prom Night was a fun night. We actually called it Pre-Graduation Dinner plus also combining the dinner with the Dean's Award recipients.  It sounds funny when you called it Prom Night. For me when it is called as such, it sounds Americanish , wild and western .hahaa. But it is also suitable to be called as such to show it was a celebrated night and because the theme for that night was Tie, Suit and Dresses , I know, nice wasn't it. And the dinner, it was not the place or the food that we would fret about or be bossy about later on, its the people and the friends and the pictures that we will talk about again and again, it will be the memory that we will probably recall in the future, the almost last moment of a student life.hahaa. And guess what, just after the dinner, we the gals went and lepak for a while for a short kopi session just to end the night nicely. Wahh, a night to rem...
