Sick and All about it

Assalamualaikum wbt
All praises to Allah the Almighty and His Messenger

Sickness.
It is true indeed when people said money is not everything.
Health is indeed wealth and money is no wealth.
Let me share my own personal experience with you.

Recently, very very recent, I fell ill.
It started with dizziness and high fever.
Then, the other symptoms came and worsen a bit.

It happened on the most awaited week in my whole life.
The week I had my CONVOCATION CEREMONY.
Yup, Allah SWT has better plans indeed.

It is a lie to say that I was too busy with work or too busy with other matters that my mind slipped about my convocation day. Never.
I am the type of person who remembers my own birthday, my own puasa days, my own special occasion dates etc. So, yes, like most normal graduates-to-be, I am super excited and super happy waiting for THE day.
I applied my leave as early as I can to get approval and yes, it was approved.
But, not just for the Monday of my ceremony, but for the whole coming two weeks after my convo ceremony.

I first fell ill on Sunday. It was the day my classmates and I had our pre-convo celebration and photoshoots. I couldn't eat even a little food, despite all others saying how tasty the foods were. With the spaghetti, sandwiches, cakes, brownies even flags and some deco were seemed not right in my eyes.

I then went to get my robe, and that was when I had my first vomit. After that, I thought I felt a lil better. So, we had our photoshoots and all. After the photoshoots, we wrapped-up everything and cleaned up. Then and there, the dizzy came back. And I think my body felt a bit hot.

Driving back and sadly unable to join my little cousin 4th birthday because upon reaching home, I already felt like having a fever. To cut the story short, I went to the doctor that night, get medicine and ok, believing that this was just a normal fever.

But, it got weird.
I started to feel nausea. And I lost my appetite to eat and to drink. Every time I eat or drink even a little, I vomit. And worst, when it was late at night plus dawn, my body temperature felt like it was at its peak. So hot that I couldn't sleep. So it was nausea+high temperature at night.

My mama then told me to go for a blood test as my fever did not show signs of cooling down. I went to the hospital three times, for three blood tests for them to at last, ward me.
I was not delighted or excited to be warded, but that was whats best at that moment.
I can't eat anything without vomiting. My stomach was empty. My head hurts. I started to have diarrhea. So, I was a little glad that I was dripped. At least, there was water intake for my body.

And yes, all these symptoms are Dengue symptoms. If you had almost similar, do go for a blood test. And drink a lot of WATER. That's the medicine for dengue.

And so, there goes my so-called convocation, once in a lifetime, most awaited moment. Nevertheless, I am still thankful. At least, I did still able to go to my ceremony. And alhamdulillah I am getting much much better now.
Already started working and slowly recovering.

So readers, take good care of your health. You would never know.
And yeah, you, Wednesday did failed.
Until later :)

English for Professional Communication

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Greetings readers! As stated above, in this entry I would like to share about the course that I am taking at present. It is a course from the Academy of Language Studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). It is very rare to find people that know about this course. Dialogue 1 A: Eh, what are you studying now? Me: English for Prof Comm A: ...........??? So, what is that actually? Dialogue 2 A: Anyway, what are you taking now? Me: Language studies A: Oh.. TESL eh. Me: ....................... or very very very rare, Dialogue 3 A: What course did you take? Me: English for Prof Comm A: Ohh..ok. As you see, this course is not as popular as others like law, engineering, medicine, dental, education and others, which everyone knows of. But, it is a fun and interesting course to learn. Believe me. And if you are really good in English, which I am still working on t...

Sleepless night to remember

Assalamulaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger Hello. Upon writing this post, I am at a state where I can no longer open my eyes to continue doing my work. My friends and I are at Level 9 Menara at this late hour, yup (for those who know the history.........hahahaa.....). It's kind of our lepak place for wifi, for just us. Alhamdulillah. Our journey are coming to its end. So far, we are done with two of our professional presentations. It was a nerve-wrecking and sleepless experience on preparing the text and searching for information and practice and what not for the presentation. Nevertheless, I enjoy every last moment of it. Even now, it is just so difficult to finish up my thesis and do the amendments needed, I choose not to fret and just keep on continuing these difficult times as I believe I will be reminiscing these times later in the future. InsyaAllah, everything will end this Monday. My prayers to all of us, myself and my friends, that we...

Prom Night

Assalamualaikum wbt All praises to Allah SWT and His Messenger And so, our konon2 Prom Night was a fun night. We actually called it Pre-Graduation Dinner plus also combining the dinner with the Dean's Award recipients.  It sounds funny when you called it Prom Night. For me when it is called as such, it sounds Americanish , wild and western .hahaa. But it is also suitable to be called as such to show it was a celebrated night and because the theme for that night was Tie, Suit and Dresses , I know, nice wasn't it. And the dinner, it was not the place or the food that we would fret about or be bossy about later on, its the people and the friends and the pictures that we will talk about again and again, it will be the memory that we will probably recall in the future, the almost last moment of a student life.hahaa. And guess what, just after the dinner, we the gals went and lepak for a while for a short kopi session just to end the night nicely. Wahh, a night to rem...
